What does it indicate if I see a spark when connecting a wire to a voltage reducer or power source?Updated an hour ago

A small spark may occur when connecting a wire such as a ground wire to a voltage reducer or power source, especially if the circuit is already under load or components are drawing standby power. While a brief spark can be normal, it may also indicate a short, incorrect wiring, or reversed polarity connection.

To prevent damage always ensure the vehicle is powered off and the battery is disconnected before making any connections.

Double-check that the wire is going to the correct terminal (e.g., ground to negative).

Inspect the wire and reducer for exposed conductors, incorrect grounding, or damaged insulation.

If sparking continues or if the reducer or kit does not function properly after connection, stop installation and contact technical support for assistance. Contact Us
